Point ShareX at swiftimg once and every screenshot you take is hosted with the share link copied to your clipboard. Create a free account and an API key to upload without a browser bot challenge. Free uploads are public.

Setup
- Download the uploader (a small
.sxcufile). - Double-click it to import, then select swiftimg as the custom image uploader.
- Open your account, create an API key, and add a header in ShareX custom uploader settings:
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. Keep this key private. - Enable Upload image to host under after-capture tasks and Copy URL to clipboard under after-upload tasks.
- Press
Ctrl + Print Screen; the share link is on your clipboard.
Attribute uploads to your account
The uploader posts to https://swiftimg.com/v1/images. To keep, list, and manage your uploads, create an API key and add it to the uploader as an Authorization: Bearer <key> header in ShareX custom uploader settings. This is required when bot protection is enabled. Higher rate and size limits apply on paid plans — see pricing.
Check your first screenshot
Open the returned link and verify that the image appears in your account library. A “bot check failed” response usually means the API-key header is missing or incorrect. For private uploads on a paid plan, add a form argument visibility with value private. A private link requires authorized access.
Prefer a direct image link over the page link? Swap {json:pageUrl} for {json:directUrl} in the file before importing.
Troubleshooting
- Authentication or bot-check error: check the active API key and the space after Bearer in the Authorization header.
- No clipboard link: confirm the after-upload copy task and the URL response field.
- Quota or size error: review plan limits and resize the source if needed.
Commercial use requires Business. Keep uploader files containing API keys private.
