Heads-up
Some subreddits prefer i.redd.it / Reddit-native uploads; check the subreddit rules before posting an external host.
Step by step
1. Upload anonymously
Drop the file at /upload — no Reddit account, swiftimg account, or signup required.
2. Post the direct image URL
Use the direct image URL (i.swiftimg.com/…) for an inline preview. Use the /i/… viewer URL if you want a full OpenGraph card on platforms that show one.

Reddit's Markdown supports inline images via the standard syntax.

Reddit — FAQ
Why not just upload to Reddit directly?
You can — but Reddit-native uploads are tied to the post. If the post is removed, so is the image. A swiftimg URL is portable across subreddits and survives a deletion.
Are animated GIFs supported?
Yes. Reddit inlines animated GIFs from swiftimg. For very large GIFs, consider linking the animated-WebP variant — same playback, much smaller file.
Will the URL get rate-limited if a post goes viral?
swiftimg serves assets globally with a 1-year immutable cache, so popularity reduces origin load instead of breaking it.
